The Royal Albert Hall Choral Festival 2020

On the 4th March, our JB choir attended the Royal Albert Hall Choral Festival.  It was an exciting day.  We had been rehearsing the very difficult sea shanties for a long time.  We had to learn some foreign Chinese songs which were very difficult and we didn't know the words but we tried.  We had to work very hard to promote our school and the Choir.  Here are some pictures from our day.  It was an exciting and very long day but we had a blast!  It was a huge success and when all the choirs in Redbridge got together they sounded amaxing.  The children were absoloutly brilliant and Mrs Sangha and Miss Bovolenta couldn't be more prouder than they already are of them.  Well done!

End of Year production - The Pied Piper of Hamelin

This year we have a smaller cohort of children in choir.  We had 19 children and they worked tirelessly on creating this production.  We did adopt some children for their support to be 'rats' in the performance.  All the children were really excited but in showbusiness even the stars get ill.  We had a real catastrophe as our leading Pied Piper was taken ill on the day of the performance and we had to improvise.  We are lucky that our choir s resilient and hardworking.  We had a few hiccups along the way on the day of the performance but it was well worth the children performing so well.  I am very proud of them all and will continue to support them in the years to come.  Here are some pictures from the performance.

Young Voices Concert 2019 at the 02 Arena!!!!!

We went to the O2 Arena on Tuesday 5th February to attend the Young Voices Concert. We were singing with 164 schools this year. It was a really fun and exciting experience. There were loads of other schools who participated.  There were 8868 pupils in the Young Voices choir. Did you know?...it is the biggest choir in the world.   Hugh Jackman sent a recorded message to the YV choir to apologise for his absence. It was so exciting to hear his voice.  We ended the concert with The Greatest Showman melody.  We even managed to get the parents up dancing and singing too.

We had a really fun time.

Summer concert 2018

At JB we are so fortunate to have so many talented pupils who often go unnoticed due to lack of confidence and self-esteem, the choir allows them to show off their talents and gives them a forum to express their skills, voices and talents.  We have worked really hard this term to prepare for our annual Summer Concert.  The children worked lunchtimes and after school in choir sessions.  We also had children who are part of Dance Shak join the concert.  Overall

, it was a wonderful evening which showed off the talents of the children who have found their confidence through choir and singing.  Well done to everyone.  You were all fantastic and I'm so proud of you all.  Here are some pictures from the concert, we hope you enjoy them as much as we did performing for you all.
